adventure. The Arabuko Sokoke Forest is nestled beside Watamu
and Malindi Parks and Reserves, about 120km from Mombasa Island,
and just minutes from the waters of the Indian Ocean. It’s
the largest coastal forest in Eastern Africa, 417 square kilometers.
There is an untold wealth of natural beauty and rare varieties
of birds; Sokoke Scops Owl and Sokoke Pipit. |

air is filled with butterflies and birds, the trees alive
with monkeys, the forest floor is home to many smaller mammals
and two rare species of mammals; Aders Duiker and Yellow-Rumped
Elephant Shrew.
There is also a resident herd of elephants and buffalo.The
forest stretches to the headwaters of the mighty Sabaki River.
